In-Home Services

 

Missouri's Home and Community Based Services Program, HCBS, allows for "home-based" services to be provided in the comfort of an individual's home. Home4Life In-Home Services is an HCBS care provider who provides In-Home Services, non-medical support of adults and seniors. In-Home Services must be authorized, by Department of Health and Senior Services, prior to delivery of services. 

 

In-Home care is an excellent option for those who do not require the daily presence of a specialized nurse or therapist. These services help maintain the least restrictive environment for the individual. Individuals must be active MO Healthnet (formerly Medicaid) recipients. Home4Life In-Home Services is Licensed to provide the following:

Personal Care

Assistance with Personal care consists of bathing, grooming and hygiene, mobility assistance, transferring and positioning, toileting and incontinence care, feeding and assistance with self-administered medications.

Homemaker Services

Homemaker tasks consists of meal preparation, light housekeeping includes kitchen, bathroom, living room, window cleaning and trash; laundry includes changing bed linens and ironing; shopping/errands.

Chore Services

Chore tasks consists of washing walls and woodwork; cleaning closets, basement and attics; shampooing rugs; Air mattresses and bedding; spraying for insects within the home, using over-the-counter supplies; and providing rodent control within the home (setting traps or using over-the-counter supplies).

Respite

Respite care consists of supervision of person to assure safety and to assist person in meeting needs; depending on time of day, direct care may look very similar to tasks highlighted under "Personal Care." 

 

Authorized Nurse Visits

A Registered Nurse provides overall supervision of care rendered by aide. A Nurse may also fill diabetic syringes, set up oral medications for self administration, monitor skin condition and provides nail care to diabetic persons. Nurses assess the clients condition ongoing, and has the ability to request changes in the overall care plan.
